It's weird the phases we run to. Zap and I have been trying very hard to start eating more at home and a bit more healthy. It's been hard, but we have done pretty well last week and this week. I'm not sure if it's saving us money yet - that I think we'll need a bit more data on. Still I am hoping this is the first of many small steps to real weight loss that I can keep off. We even didn't eat the whole dish and put some in for left overs. See progress can be made.
Since applying for and not getting the position in September till now I've put on about 12 pounds. Most if not all was stress eating that I need to learn to control. I now see it, when I get upset at work I turn to chips instantly. My body has a way of triggering that I'm starving to the point of getting me light headed. I need to drink more water for sure during these times. Still - it's little progresses like that that I feel will work towards long term weight loss even if I don't see instant pound loss over night.
We've been doing pretty good at keeping things mostly picked up. I say mostly because we still need to tackle that junk room harder then we ever have. And I packed some books for storage. But the dishes are being done quicker and not sitting. The carpet is vaccumed more regularly. The bathroom scrubbed down more frequently. Over all, domestication is being tackled gradually instead of an "all at once" deal.
Again, steps in the right direction.
